  4. umashankar told:

Am I glad to see a full length shot of the humour king! I think its only natural for you to pick up cartoons. True to your style, its loaded with irony!

    • Debajyoti told:

hey, thanks a lot Uma. i need to understand how some of the tools work, think for sometime and then try it :D . this was just a stupid and hurried attempt. but it’s fun and i am going to work on it :)

  5. VInay told:

I was wondering how to keep updating the blog.. Looks like new ideas are stemming up now ;)

  6. Amit Agarwal told:

hey Deb…the accomplished artist that you are, I’m pretty sure you’re going to rock in this genre too, and keep your readers amused:) all the best:)

    • Debajyoti told:

hey thank you so much Amit. but this cartoon looks a bit stupid :D . just wondering whether i should have published it or not :D . but from next time on, i will spend more time and try to come up with better ones :)

  7. superrrr….lol

  8. ghazala told:

    This is super duper :)

  9. It looks amazing :) congo !

  10. jaish_vats told:

Your Newton reminds me of Severus Snape from Harry Potter,…. :D Have you read it or seen the movie? Nice work of art :)

  11. Pattu told:

A right past time for the right person. Have fun, and post them , too.

  12. bhavana told:

I love it!!!! lol, Deb! U r creative!

  13. First time I see such a unique complement to Newton, who changed the course of European political, social etc life. The apple shows (or I see) present European Economy.

PS: To me ‘promote a post means put my ‘comment’ on post :-)

  14. First time I see such a unique complement to Newton, who changed the course of European political, social etc life. The apple shows (or I see) present European Economy.

PS: To me ‘promote a post means put my ‘comment’ on post :-)

    • Debajyoti told:

hahaha. well, i didn’t think about all this. European economy? gosh you can write a suspense thriller on that.

but you haven’t submitted anything of late for me to comment. anyway, i will go through your archive :) . i will be more than happy if you wish to comment here and not promote on indivine although our blog survives because of indivine.

  15. Varsh told:

Oh poor Newton…like poking fun at Siddhu and his likes wasn’t enough! :D :D
Great idea…and tsk tsk.. I took down the site’s name…might just go cartooning along with you ;) :P

  16. I ma sure you can .. all you have to do is let it drop :) he he he he

nice cartoon loved it I bet newton did not think of this idea .. he prbably threw the whole apple

  17. I am impressed.

  18. megha told:

    good one!

  19. LeoPaw told:

That’s cool. Good luck at this initiative. BTW, what did newton do with the apple?

  20. Rohiensis told:

    HAHAHA!!! absolute coolness!! :D

  21. magiceye told:

    this is so cool! :)

    • Debajyoti told:

thank you so much. you guys are just being nice to me. i am sure it looks bad :D . but from next time on, i will look for advanced features on that site and will try to come up with something nice :)

  22. Panchali told:

Re-arranging the old in a new way…? Great…This will give us more on acceleration of free-fall. ..hahaha..
    Your cartoon is amazing…:-D

    • Debajyoti told:

ha ha ha thank you so much. i am really glad that all of you had something nice to say even though the cartoon was not good. will this give more acceleration?

  23. Not bad at all and definitely easier than penning a post!

  24. The green background in the cartoon is most appropriate to Newton’s time. With Industrialization the green cover of had been vanishing. Did anybody think that plants could be replenished? [Please see the relevant maps in 'Man and Nature (within and outside)’ on my blog.]. Similar vanishing act of Green took place in India during British rule, accelerated after Independence.
Your cartoon is indeed path-breaking. One cannot have apple and eat it too! I’m likin’ it!

    • Debajyoti told:

thank you so much for the kind words, not sure if this cartoon deserves it. the first template was trees with this background, so decided to do this Newton cartoon.

will go through the post. and you are right, there is not much green left anywhere.

  25. So your humorous instinct have got a whole new dimension. :D Would love to see more from you deb! And now i have to search for the synonyms of word ‘Hilarious’. Every time i use this same word while commenting on your post…..:D

  26. Zephyr told:

Very original Deb. Trust you to come up with the idea of making him eat the apple. I always wondered what kind of mad man he was not to take a bite of it as he contemplated the theory of gravitation!

    • Debajyoti told:

no, i thought he ate that apple but Bikram told me that he didn’t, he wasn’t that clever :D . seriously, he could have eaten that apple while writing all those theories unless he wanted even that apple to be published with his work.

thank you so much Zephyr for the comment :)

  27. afshan18 told:

Grt one! I always suffer using paint brush..heard abt this site. Guess now i can try it :)

    • Debajyoti told:

thanks. i have one post in draft and don’t feel like proofreading it. but i always love votes, comments, pageveiews. and hence this cartoon :)

  28. mak told:

Deb, good that you keep trying new things. We do enjoy. Good beginning buddy :)

  29. wanderfool told:

    hehe, good one.

  30. Meera told:

Either you are hardworking or hardly working (I have a sneaky suspicion, it is the latter) the end results are enjoyable. :)

    • Debajyoti told:

yes, you are right. i have few posts in draft and i am in no mood to complete them. but then i need votes, comments and pageviews and hence this cartoon :)

  31. Now that everyone’s said everything possible under the sun, so I will use the word used least –

    It’s Brilliant :)

    Would look forward to more…

    Naren

    • Debajyoti told:

thank you so much but it’s not that good. just posted it without any editing. i am going through the features available and will try to publish something decent next time. thanks again for this lovely comment :)

      • If I may add, Brilliance lies in simplicity… Free flowing thought is always the best. The moment you sit back and ponder about a thought at hand, well, thanks to the human nature, we try to manipulate it in a way that other’s might like it. So like I said, brilliance lies in simplicity :) and like you always do, let it flow… :D

  32. Vishal told:

    Superb! Very witty ;)

  33. so Deb a cartoonist now .. but mind you .. do not try painting politicians .. and that too indian politics … lol :D

    • Debajyoti told:

this is the easiest way to get pageviews :D . painting indian politicians would be a difficult task. that site has very limited indian cloths for the characters :D .

  34. Funny :) )))
Interesting to note the change! :)

  35. V.Khawani told:

So now are a cartoonist too ! Beware of politicians in India. ;)
    Loved this :)

    • Debajyoti told:

well, i have been trying to find out ways to create some cartoons :) . i guess, i mentioned on your blog that i would like to learn it. let’s see if i can work on it.

      • V.Khawani told:

I too used to make some cartoons at Toondoo some years back, now I prefer my photoshop. Have always liked creative work.
Keep it up. I am sure, you’ll make very nice cartoons :) will be looking forward to more from you :)

        • Debajyoti told:

i was going through the photoshop tools yesterday but i guess it would be hard work for me considering i am not good at drawing. but i would love to draw my cartoons rather than using some pre-existing format.

  36. Shalu Sharma told:

Just wondering, did he eat the apple himself? So basically Newton after eating the apply, he gets it. Its now coming to him.

  37. Shalu Sharma told:

Well in that case, he’s not that cleaver after all. You know the Brits might have cooked up the story. Nice one.

  38. sm told:

    lol
    nice one

  39. Raji Vathyam told:

Awesome start, congrats on the new venture and hope your one liners will continue to tickle the funny bones!
