SOME FACTS, SOME NONSENSE
a stupid blog............
You can follow +Debajyoti on Google Plus and on Twitter @devjyotighosh.
Haha… Lovely one..
ha ha ha, thank you so much. was getting bored, so thought will do some timepass
hahahaha…the third one is so true for India..especially Hyd. Along with agility, add mobility too
that’s the one i made, rest 2 were just drag and drop. not only Hyderabad, it’s the same in other cities as well. thankfully, i live in a very small town (almost a village), so i don’t have to see all this .
btw, how did you get the post notification? the feed hasn’t gone out yet.
Didn’t you know that I hacked your account? Lol..just kidding. I saw notification in my dashboard and clicked on it immediately. I didn’t know the others already existed..:)
ha ha ha. thank you so much. and i saw the follow option on your blog and from now on you will get a comment from me the moment you click publish . also i changed my profile picture to clear all the gender related confusion
Cool.. thank you for that. and the gender thing, my god..how I got fooled? lol
80% of my visitors get confused. i am proud of myself
Yes, I am proud I can cross sreets when the signal for pedestrians flashes a green walking man although I am quite sure it is safer to do that when the walking man in there is red! And hey! You are a genius! You just gave me a few more answers to the much-answered question, “Why did the chicken cross the street?”
1. To solve a speed-distance problem!
2. To solve the acceleration-deceleration problem!
3. To solve a hit-and-run probabilty problem!
4. To solve the riddle of drawing a cute cartoon!
yes, even i am sure it’s safer to cross the road when the walking man signal is red. all mathematical, sociological (understanding what percentage of drivers are actually rowdies), statistical problems can be solved while crossing the road. just hope that schoolteachers do this experiment on behalf of the kids. thanks for the comment. so i am getting comments
)) Wondered what you are getting at… .A good one.
thank you so much, even i didn’t know what i was getting at
True and sad at the same time.
yup. thanks a lot for the comment
Hahaha:):D ..another great one:):D
ha ha ha, thanks a lot Amit
Nice one…. Hahaha………
thank you so much. glad you liked it
We Indians are wonderful in other things besides being ‘street smart’ pedestrians, but this one was so good! I actually calculate the distance and time as the character in your cartoon does, before crossing the road. It is a bigger feat, considering I have to rotate my head completely to see the right side with my left eye
and i have to see the left side with my right eye. i am pathetic when i comes to crossing the road. people waiting at the other side get bored. thanks for the comment Zephyr
I would add ‘longevity as per horoscope’ to that list ha ha..Very good one, Debajyoti!
damn, i forgot so many things. next time i will take more time and put a comprehensive list . thank you so much for the comment Jayashree
oh man hahahahaha! crossing road killed it..
ha ha ha. thank you so much. just started doing these cartoons; to kill time . thanks again
In the third exhibit, one also needs to be proficient with a whole lot of abuses!
yup, that comes under social science. i have covered all the aspects
U just used toondoo totally i feel
excellent till now LaUGHED
ha ha ha, thanks! isn’t toondoo supercool ? i am going to be a professional cartoonist
OMG! Skills Decoded !!
It’s lack of skill that makes people afraid of meeting challenges…and you brought out the negatives so well—
Gawd , getting over inferiority is sooo hard …:P
The last one takes the cake:))
ha ha ha, absolutely, you need to be highly skilled in order to cross the road .
i spent time on that last one only. first two were just drag and drop, and little changes here and there.
thank you so much for the comment. your comments always put a smile on my face . thank you!!
he he he he Very true we need all that to cross over the roads especially in india ..
ha ha, thanks Bikram. well, everything from personal experience
LOL, how nicely related
hey, thank you so much. i wasn’t getting any comment for quire sometime. so, really glad to see your comment ha ha ha
ha ha ha !
cartoon keeda has finally bit both of us ! lol
yes, it has and people are commenting as well, ROFL
Truly Deb.. you are on fire. That was a hilarious take on the horrendous traffic situation. Innovative and thought provoking. Lots of laughs and lots to think at the same time. You are a genius indeed.
ha ha ha. thanks a lot Raj. me and genius? i was just getting bored and thought i will do some timepass
ha ha ha …..w’ful !!!! you do manage to find humor in all the situations ….I love it !
hey TTT, thank you so much for the comment. i just wanted to kill some time and get few visitors may be. but people are commenting as well . you guys are so nice, thanks again
dang you are so good at this!!! Did you send it to any newspapers or magazines? Folks would love it!
hehehe, thanks. no, coz i am just using the tools they provide to create cartoons. i cannot draw. but it’s fun
haha. Good one. which software do you use, if I may ask?
hey, thanks Mani . it’s a site called toondoo.com
Deb, you’re getting better and better and BETTER!
I love the way you built up the suspense with the first two images.
And crossing the road really is nerve-racking. Everybody can relate to this.
oh, it’s a dreadful task especially in big cities in India. i had to include the first two images to build that story (or whatever you call it).
this cartoon thing is cool. i am loving it
he he. thanks you so much
ha ha!…..too true……now to add to the confusion…throw in mom ,pop and kiddos who need to cross the road!…..this is actually such a sad reflection of our cities…i thank god that i currently live in a small little town!
hey, i actually wanted to put mom, dad and kiddo, but there weren’t much space. i did put a cow though, which somehow i cannot locate now, may be that cow didn’t get saved.
oh, i am scared to visit a big city, my head starts spinning because of all the unnecessary chaos.
many thanks for the comment
Very true ! Crossing the road has become a science in the cities of India
it is, indeed, a very very scary kind of science. thanks a lot for the comment
Cute. The common man is a better acrobat than the professional ones!
totally agree with you. common man can do exceptional things, or rather he is forced to. thank you so much for the comment
LOL damn true….
Now addicted for cartoons ?
thanks. wanted to check out your league page. will visit today. let’s see who is winning.
Its my first visit to your blog…and you have a new fan added to your list dude..
very fresh and creative..loved it..:)
thank you so much. delighted to see your comment here
Here I was looking forward to the second part of your bloggers post and you come up with a cartoon. Chalo, chalo, enough playing with the cartoon software… quickly second part post karo!!
i will have to write that no. that’s a tedious process. cartoon is fun.
hahahahaha… really good
ha ha, thank you so much
Actually they are very good. You definitely need all those skills to cross the road these days.
yes, we do need all the skills. many thanks for the comment.
Great sense of humor :)
For the last cartoon:
Knowledge of Math, Physics, Statistics, Social Science and HISTORY..:):)
didn’t i include history? damn. i remember typing history, don’t know how it’s missing now, cannot see that cow as well which i put in the middle of the road .
thank you so much for the comment
May be they are now HISTORICAL
ha ha ha, i am sure they are.
Lovely Deb, nice one…reminded me my days in Hyderabad, where crossing the road was really a tough task near Pantaloons at Begumpet..
thanks you so much Avanish . absolutely, crossing the road in some places is virtually impossible.
And they say, History repeats itself!
sure, will come up with one more cartoon, soon. it’s easy, it’s fun, and it keeps my blog alive
Crossing the street require one more parameter. Whether it is green or red you must be blessed with X factor i.e Luck. Just now I saw it. After the signal wads red for traffic a lady was crossing the street. Suddenly one bike ignored the signal and was about to hit the lady. A bus conductor came running from no where pushed the lady. She fell of on the road and was little hurt. The bike did not stop and went speeding.
that’s really sad but thankfully she is fine. yeah you need a little bit of luck as well.
many thanks for the comment.
Awesome yaar !!
thanks a lot. glad you liked it.
Rofl…..nxt tym i cross the road , my basic phy, maths gonna halp me
absolutely, but you need to do it correctly
Jugaad! Be the ‘Indian Hero’, you will inherit all the right skills
oh yes, Indians inherit all the skills. thanks for the comment.
Hee hee… True! am sure India wud get a medal for sure if ‘hazardous crossing’ was made an olympic sport deb! whaddya say?!
hands down. we don’t need any training or preparation. straight into the event and come out victorious
Haha, even the drivers of various vehicles need the same skill set as people normally cross the road during rush hour … Nice cartooon
yup, everyone should be highly skilled on indian roads and that includes drivers as well. thanks for the comment.
you should include “exhibit 4 “-skills of a traffic policeman- …have eyes and ears all around, should be able to handle Exhibit 3 category people…
not to mention ,the cartoon blog is really hilarious …above is for sure a mast one.
i guess you are right. but may be i can do a separate cartoon on traffic police itself.
this one is really mast.
You should include another Exhibit 4 -skills of a traffic policeman–eyes and ears all around with special powers to tackle Exhibit 3
ha ha ha, yeah, i will do that
tried to visit your blog but it’s not there anymore. have you deleted your blog?
yes,i was facing difficulty in installing some application on wordpress…so i have moved all my post to a new page on blogspot.in
hope you will enjoy it…
okie, got it. it looks nice and yes, you can install a lot of applications on blogspot. will go through some of your post later tonight
pleasure is all mine
HAHAHAHAHAHA ! THAT IS SO TRUE AN HILARIUS ! SUPERB!
ha ha ha, thank you so much. glad you liked it
your cartoons make me want to log to the site after years
go for it. make some cartoons and have fun . many thanks for the comment.
maybe I will….one of these days…if I get time
yeah please do that
wonderful cartoons, they’re pure genius!!
always love ure posts
hey, thanks a lot StyleDestino. glad to know that you like my posts
And also, you should at least know one dance form. As per my experience, Salsa is great on Indian roads.
ha ha ha. but i reserved Salsa for autodrivers when they take a U-turn . i mentioned this in one of my old posts. but yeah, you are right, you should know Salsa to survive in some situations, yup.
Hey Deb! This profile photo of yours is the coolest of all so far I loved it
ha ha ha, even i liked it . spent some time making it, will not change it now . thanks.
Very nice so true!
thanks Deepz . i am assuming that your new job is keeping you away from blogging.
Hey, a new look! Where do you get those form:-)))))
i make them on my cartoon site
you are amazing
i will create one for you and send you by mail
So sweet, I wanted to request, but felt shy .
ha ha ha, will do that
Exhibit 3 – one more skill set is negligent attitude. Without looking at the approaching car’s driver, show him a hand signal to make him stop, then walk for 20 meters. Make sure you don’t listen what he/she yells.
Amazing skill at cartooning Deb. At last you changed your gender i mean your photo …lol
hey thanks Mak. actually you don’t need any skill to make these cartoons. it’s pretty simple
This one is my favourite! And it’s good to be on your blog again. WHAT is your secret to posting so regularly? I can never manage it!
because i am jobless ha ha ha. do you think i post regularly? it’s been more than 10 days i have published anything .
thank you so much for visiting my blog again
Great job!You should try publish your cartoons , I mean in print. May be we will get a column in a leading daily soon:)
Thanks, they made me laugh
thanks a lot!! well, i have just started doing these cartoons and am using the tools which this particular site provides. may be when i learn how to draw, i will look to get my cartoons published. thanks again for this huge compliment
Mastered the art Deb. Proved yet again that wit is most essential regardless of the medium. Loved them.
thanks Varsh! i am doing these cartoons because i am in no mood to write long posts
After the first two cartoons in this post, i never imagined such a punch line! Really wonderful. Had to tell you that
Ciao from meoww
thank you so much!! glad you liked it!!
i was searching for your comment on my new post, didn’t realize you commented here
hahaha so true this is what happens when v cross our road in India its doesn’t have to be busy hours all time this is our position.
thank you so much. yes it’s one adventure sport here
very funny but some kind of sense in it. I will not face it until I am in my small hometown.
no, i find small towns ok. i live in a small town and we don’t face any problem while crossing the road (the width of the road is less than 20 ft ).
Reminds me of trying to cross some of the streets of Kolkata. It’s a miracle that I survive.
totally agree with you. but not only calcutta, try crossing the streets in other cities. you will be able to cross half the street and the rest will be taken care of by your ghost.
This one was hilarious…. crossing roads in India does need you to be freakin’ genius!!
absolutely, and still there is no guarantee that you will survive
Yeah right….jumping through innumerable hurdles , trying to pass through the teeny weeny gaps between the vehicles…there is no guarantee to anything!!
so many times, while crossing the road, i saw a familiar face on a water buffalo with a crown on his head and a mace in his hand; and i thought this is it. but then, i am still alive
Yeah Yamraj!! It is indeed a miracle I find myself alive
hahaha, it is a miracle
Oh man!!! hahahahahahaa!!! What a cartoon! Loved it.
hahaha, thank you so much . this cartoon thing is fun and it hardly takes any time
Some people will do anything to get pageviews!!
No seriously, this is quite funny and creative:)
hahaha, you are right. i can do anything for pageviews . i have lost all my visitors again, so i am resorting to some cheap tactics now to get new visitors
Hahaha….lol…..very good one!….third one especially true..:)..by the way may I know how you created your cartoons
thanks a lot . there are various sites where you can create cartoons using the tools which they provide. toondoo is probably the most popular one. it’s great for pageviews because people usually prefer short posts and the cartoon is the shortest of them all.
Thank you for ur idea….I love cartoons and have been wanting to create some, on my own
cool. it’s pretty simple. even i am going to do one tonight.
man you’re good lol
hey, thank you so much . glad you enjoyed these cartoons
ha ha … awesome !!! loved it
thank you so much
